Anti-speeding crusaders rev up 'informant' campaign | Bangkok Post: news

City residents are asked to take photos of sections of the city's roads prone to accidents or where accidents often occur and send them to @fongpapia Facebook page. AIP Foundation manager for Thailand Orathai Chunsuwannarak said people might think that Bangkok's streets that suffer traffic congestion during most hours are less prone to speeding. City residents are asked to send the photos of accident-prone stretches of Bangkok roads to the foundation via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The foundation is hopeful about the move, though attempts to reduce speeding in Thailand have previously failed. It agreed to have each province select specific stretches of roads prone to accidents which require a new speed limit to be set, she said.
